APRIL

First Friday Indie Market

Where: Downtown Greensboro in the parking lot at the Corner of MLK & South Elm Street

The Markets were such a success last year, we decided to continue doing them each month.  Along with the First Friday Art Hop in Downtown Greensboro, we'll have around 25 vendors (artists and crafts people) setting up to display and sell what they so proudly make.  Please come down to show your support for Handmade!


MAY

Shindig on the Square
When:  Sunday, May 2, 2010
Time:   12pm - 6pm
Where: Downtown Greensboro at Hamburger Square (300 Block of S. Elm and adjacent parking lots)

This festival is taking place in coordination with ArtBeat Greensboro (a week long celebration of the Greensboro Arts Community) and will serve as a kick off event. The festival will feature 60+ art, craft, and vintage vendors; musical, theatrical and dance street performers; a main music stage with several bands; and beer and wine--all happening in the heart of downtown Greensboro.  For more information, please visit the Indie Market blog.

Kernersville Spring Folly
When:  Friday, May 7, 2010 (6pm - 10pm)
            Saturday, May 8, 2010 (10am - 6pm)
Where: Downtown Kernersville.  Arts & Crafts booths will be lining both sides of N. Main Street

This is a "Rain or Shine" event.  This will be two fun filled days, with activities for the kids, music, arts & crafts and food. For more information, please visit the Kernersville Spring Folly site.

First Friday Indie Market

Greensboro Summer Solstice Bazaar
When:   Sunday, June 20, 2010 (3pm - 9pm)
Where:  Greensboro Arboretum, Market Street

This is an awesome event for the entire family!  Free admission, face painting, butterfly release, hooping, drums, belly dancing and lots of vendors selling all kinds of goodies.  For more information, please visit Greensboro Summer Solstice.  A rain date is set for Sunday, June 27, 2010.

Craftscene at Fun Fourth Festival

Where: Downtown Greensboro Cultural District (Davie & Elm @ Bellemeade)

This is a "Rain or Shine" Event.  "Celebrating Independence Day in Greensboro's Downtown Cultural District, Fun Fourth Festival features a patriotic parade, several stages of live entertainment, Children's Village, Craftscene, food, amusements, rides and more."  For more information please visit the Fun Fourth website.
